Ms. Nakoa is the resident partner in the firm’s Hawai`i Island Office. Ms. Nakoa serves Rush Moore LLP clients in the areas of general and tort litigation, complex construction litigation, insurance bad faith litigation, plaintiff and defendant’s personal injury, animal law, and non-profit and charitable organization law. Her experience includes statewide jury trials, bench trials, mandatory and binding arbitrations, and complex mediations. In addition, Ms. Nakoa has extensive experience as a court-appointed Partition and Foreclosure Commissioner.
Ms. Nakoa was born in Honolulu and raised in Maui and Washington D.C. From 1998-2004, she served as the managing partner at Strance & Nakoa, Attorneys at Law. Previously, she practiced at Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel. From 1999-2004, Ms. Nakoa served as a per diem judge in the District and Family Courts of the Third Circuit Court, State of Hawaii, before joining Rush Moore LLP as the resident partner on Hawaii Island in 2005.
