Mr. Feeley has a commercial litigation practice with an emphasis on business and real estate cases, including contract and lease disputes, unfair competition, construction defects and coverage claims. He is a problem-solver who has assisted clients in obtaining positive outcomes, including millions in awards, settlements and negotiated agreements.
Real Estate, Business and Personal Injury Litigation. Outside counsel for largest real estate franchise in U.S.; regularly represents parties in real estate disputes and contract interpretation; tried breach of contract case for two weeks until defendant settled; successfully defended client in stock fraud case (twice appealed;) litigated numerous agreement-of-sale cases; represented business owner in high-value business defamation case; represented airline business owner in fraud litigation; successfully defended Princess Cruises and Holland America in Molokai access lawsuit; obtained 7‑figure settlement for homeowners in contract dispute; represented Aloha Tower developer in rights litigation; represent hotel owners and businesses in lease termination. Regularly represent plaintiffs and defendants in various personal injury cases. Advise companies on business strategies.
Financial Institutions and Liquidations. Represented the FDIC for 7 years in federal court as special counsel in civil litigation. Served as outside counsel for the Hawaii Insurance Commissioner in insurance insolvency cases. Represented reinsurers in a medical insurance liquidation cases and trustees and Chapter 11 debtors in prosecuting or defending fraud litigation.
Before joining Rush Moore LLP, Mr. Feeley was an equity partner at O’Connor Playdon & Guben LLP and Hawaii Law Group. He is a court-appointed arbitrator, a CLE speaker and a past president of HSBA’s Litigation Section.
