Ms. Nakamura provides legal counsel in the areas of lender liability, lessor-lessee disputes, collections, evictions, debtor-creditor rights, commercial litigation and land title disputes. She has extensive experience handling motions and other types of hearings in State and Federal court, bench trials, arbitrations, arguments and briefing before the Hawaii Supreme Court, and briefings for the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She is licensed to practice before all courts in Hawaii and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

While pursuing her law degree from Harvard Law School, Ms. Nakamura served on the staff of the Harvard Environmental Law Review (1979-1980) and the Harvard Journal on Legislation (1980-1981).
